The Smithtown Schools Retirees' Association is an organization of retired employees of the Smithtown School District including: retired teachers, administrators, custodial, secretarial, nurses, and para-professional personnel. The Association provides information with items of interest to its members, keeps current with the Smithtown School District and protects those interests of retirees.
 
The SSRA maintains communication with its members through its newsletter, luncheons, and occasional communications. Liaison with the Smithtown School District, STA, and SSEA is maintained on an ongoing basis. We strive to be a unified body looking out for you and your retirement. 

Joining the SSRA is only $15 a year. There are no requirements to attend meetings or participate in any or our activities. (We hope that you will) We in turn will keep you informed about your colleagues, events, and your retirement benefits.

The Smithtown Schools Retirees’ Association is affiliated with the Smithtown Teachers’ Association, The New York State United Teachers and the American Federation of Teachers.

Monthly meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 10:00 AM at the STA office. All members are invited to attend. We encourage your input.
